Well another fair is over and we had a fabolous 3 days .
This fair though sucessful for most sadly was marred by the devastating news from the claremont council that thretens to end this 10 year trading tradition …
Read on to see how you can help………..

Claremont Town Council has forced us to pay $35,405 in licence fees for our stallholders to trade in a public place. That is a whacking great $12,000 per day and could force our small stallholders out of business as it unfairly targets them. They are applying their Trading in Public Places Law to the privately owned Claremont Showgrounds and are the only council that we know of that takes this approach.
This will also be applied to all stallholders at the Royal Show which means that Claremont Town Council will impose around $500,000 of extra costs. Up go the entrance fees.
This is a tax on the general public
Protest to the Mayor by emailing him at mayor@claremont.wa.gov.au or email the Minister for Local Government ljiljanna-ravlich@dpc.wa.gov.au and ask her to overturn this unfair interpretation of a public place
Treasured Craft Creations organises three major combined craft and antiques & collectables fairs in Perth each year at the Claremont Showgrounds Exhibition Centre. They have been organising successful Fairs in Perth since 1990.
